Built on Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects

Technology

Built for real clinics, not benchmark datasets.

Research AI often fails in hospitals: it needs huge datasets, hides its reasoning, and breaks on new patient populations. Our systems were designed from first principles for limited data, regulatory scrutiny, and clinician trust.

01

Context-aware intelligence

Spatial, temporal, and microenvironmental context, because the same mutation means different things in different tumours.

02

Minimal-data learning

One-shot and few-shot learning for rare subtypes and small cohorts, augmented by knowledge graphs.

03

Continuous self-improvement

Runtime ontology updating lets twins refine their knowledge as new evidence arrives, without full retraining.

04

Explainable by design

Auditable biological reasoning chains and uncertainty estimates that regulators and clinicians can follow.

05

Multi-modal integration

Imaging, omics, organoids, and clinical outcomes inform one model, across hospitals and lab equipment.

Flagship projects

From research platform to clinical decision support.

CancerScan

Smart pathology slide scanner for diagnosis and patient-specific treatment recommendation in oncology.

Tumour digital twins that model the tumour microenvironment to predict therapy response and resistance, starting with pancreatic cancer, where no validated individualised treatment-selection tool exists.

Services

Collaborative modelling & simulation

For biotech and pharma companies, medical device developers, and research groups whose biological systems are too complex, costly, or slow to explore by experiment alone, without building an in-house modelling team.

Available as fee-for-service work or as the modelling partner in a funded grant consortium.

A

Feasibility study

Establish whether a modelling approach is viable before larger investment.

B

Full simulation campaign

From setup through parametric exploration to validated prediction: tumour progression, drug transport, coupled multiphysics.

C

Methodology development

Where the capability you need does not exist yet, we develop the method itself.

Scientific foundations

Nine years of European research behind every model.

Neovivum builds on the work of CEO Igor Balaž and his team at the University of Novi Sad, together with a network of academic, clinical, and industrial partners across Europe.
